Amber Howard, Nurse Practitioner, Joins Northwest Health in Knox

Northwest Health welcomes Starke County resident Amber Howard, FNP-C, a nurse practitioner specializing in primary care to Northwest Medical Group. Howard joined the Northwest Medical Group - Primary Care office at 104 E. Culver Road, Suite 102, in Knox.

Howard earned her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing-Illinois in Chicago. She has served the Northwest Indiana community as an in-service director at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver, a staff nurse at Brickyard Knox Care Center in Knox, a case manager at Knox Community Home Health in Knox, a medical surgical nurse with Saint Joseph Health System in Plymouth, and most recently as a registered nurse in the progressive care unit at Northwest Porter Health in Valparaiso.

Howard’s extensive experience in caring for patients in Starke County and surrounding communities contributes to promoting wellness in the region. Her areas of interest include annual physicals, well-child checkups and physicals, geriatric medicine, vaccines, patient education, medication management, and wellness and lifestyle modification.
